The Magic Flute Presented by Miami Beach Classical Music Festival

A hero on a quest and a princess finding her way encounter enchanted creatures, an evil queen and ultimately, each other – all with the help of a Magic Flute! Part of MMF’s popular Family Opera series, this production is created specifically for young children and will be performed with English dialogue. Mozart’s classic “singspiel” includes both spoken and sung dialogue, with familiar melodies you’ll be singing along to. Allow your children to experience opera in a family-friendly, live theatre setting.

Wake up Miami! Presented by PAXy

Wake up Miami! is PAXy's community project that brings FREE live music and art into people’s everyday lives by presenting a series of concerts/performances at Miami Metrorail/Metromover stations during the morning commute. C4 Trio: Back to 4 Presented by The Koubek Center

Back to 4, the new C4 Trio album contains 9 original songs, all composed by the members of the group. The album was recorded in Miami in co-production with Michael League and under the Ground Up label. Back to 4 walks through traditional Venezuelan genres such as joropo and merengue as well as experiments with world music. It is the first album of the ensemble in which they do not have any guests, only their instruments, their virtuosity and desire to make new music.

Hued Songs presents The Juneteenth Experience, a multidisciplinary, immersive performance of our American Holiday, Juneteenth - past, present, and future. Celebrating Freedom, Black artists, Black culture, Black community, and Black Miami.

Distinguished Artist Recital - Garrick Ohlsson Presented by Frost School of Music and Chopin Foundation

Garrick Ohlsson, piano Athena Deng, piano Madison Yan, piano Christopher Shin, piano The Festival concludes with a rare South Florida appearance of one of America’s piano legends, Garrick Ohlsson, whose career was catapulted after winning the Chopin, Busoni, and Montreal International Competitions. His recital includes works of Brahms and Chopin and will be preceded by three of our talented Academy students: Canadian pianist Athena Deng, prize winner of the 2021 William Knabe International Piano Competition, American Christopher Shin, prize winner of the MTNA 2021-2022 Senior Piano Competition, and South Florida’s own Madison Yan, prize winner of the 2019 William Knabe International Piano Competition.

Young Virtuosos Presented by Frost School of Music and Chopin Foundation

Khrystyna Mykhailichenko, piano Isadora Rezende, piano Evelina Kleczek,piano Antoni Kleczek, piano William Ge, piano Tonight we feature the Frost Chopin Academy’s youngest talents, including 13-year-old Evelina Kleczek, her 15-year-old brother Antoni, and 15-year-old William Ge, recipient of a Chopin Foundation scholarship. We are also featuring the winner of The First Parnassus International Music Competition, of the Music International Competition and full-scholarship recipient Isadora Rezende, 16, of Brazil. The evening concludes with 16-year-old Ukrainian refugee Khrystyna Mykhailichenko, whom we have also brought here on a full scholarship. Included in Khrystyna’s program are works from her native Ukraine.

Distinguished Artist Recital: Kevin Kenner Presented by Frost School of Music and Chopin Foundation

Dina Yoffe, piano Katie Liu, piano Angeline Ma, piano Hyeonuk Park, piano Top-prize winner at the International Chopin and Schumann Competitions, pianist Dina Yoffe, who is also a renowned pedagogue and juror of many of the most prestigious piano competitions, performs works of Beethoven and Schumann. She will be joined by three of our talented academy students, all scholarship recipients of the Chopin Foundation of the U.S. Katie and Angeline have attended every edition of the academy since its inception in 2018. Hyeonuk was awarded 1st prize at the 2021 Claudette Sorel International Piano Competition and is currently studying at the Juilliard School.
